California Secretary of State Debra Bowen met with Sutter County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters Donna Johnston and the Elections Department staff on Tuesday, April 24.
The visit included discussion on the Vote by Mail process, voting machines and tabulation equipment, and poll workers.
The Secretary of State complimented Sutter County on its creative use of the webcam on election night, which allows an overflow crowd in the lobby to watch the ballot count; and the invaluable expertise of the certified staff, which allows the election to run smoothly.

The above was dated April 30 but occurred on Apr 24th. No mention was made in the Appeal Democrat regarding this NON-PRESS event.
I am wondering, what BIG CROWD is supposed to be present at this BIG SUTTER COUNTY PRIMARY ELECTION?
Who paid for this big WEBCAM event?
Around here they roll up the sidewalks at night and we all sleep in the barn with the cows.
I'll have to ask my buddy, Gerry Hill (Chairman of the Sutter Co. Am. Independent Party Central Committee) if he has ever heard of the Secretary of State visiting Sutter County. I have never heard of such a visit here in Yuba County.
Gerry, maybe you and Grace and Pat and I can get adjoining cells in Bowen's Detention center?
